The Coffee Book Tag

Qotd: Nonfiction or Fiction?

πŸ’: Fiction anyday.

Hola lovlies πŸ’œ How’re you all doing? Decided to try the coffee book tag. I hope you enjoy this post and tell me what you think of my answers in the comments section below. Feel free to join in as well. I’d love to read your answers.

1. LONG BLACK

Name a series that’s tough to get into, but has hardcore fans.

The Lord Of The Rings series by J. R. R. Tolkien is quite difficult and veryyyy long, making it a complex read. But a lot of people love it including me. After you’ve gotten used to the complexity of the words, I think you’d realize it’s a good read.

2. PEPPERMINT MOCHA

Name a book that gets more popular during the winter or festive times of the year.

Umm… the Percy Jackson books by Rick Riordan? I see them quite a lot during end of the year, perhaps a way for everyone to finish the year on a happy note.

3. HOT CHOCOLATE

Name your favorite children’s book.

There were these bedtime stories that I really loved as a child. They were called Uncle Arthur’s Bedtime Stories Volume 1-5, each volume containing about 9 stories. Very interesting stories and the fun part is that they are actually real. I sometimes still read them. They make me bask in nostalgic memories.

4. DOUBLE SHOT ESPRESSO

Name a book that kept you on the edge of your seat from start to finish

Most recently, The Arrangement by Kiersten Modglin. Wow. That book is epic! So many twists and turns. Lies, betrayals, love, family union and a whole lot of drama! I just couldn’t put it down. It has every element of suspense. Will keep your heart racing from A to Z.

5. STARBUCKS

Name a book you see everywhere.

Rock Paper Scissors by Alice Feeney. From Bookstagram, to Facebook groups to WordPress, this book is on everyone’s tbr! Recently released, but already gaining momentum in the book world. Haven’t read it though.

6. THE HIPSTER COFFEE SHOP

Give a book by an indie author a shout out.

Black Jack (A Daiya Wu Mystery) by Gloria Oliver. I so adore this book. Everything about it screams perfection. One of my favorite 2021 reads. Read my review here!

7. OOPS! ACCIDENTALLY GOT DECAF

Name a book you were expecting more from.

No Going Back by Casey Kelleher. I didn’t vibe well with this tbh. The cover and synopsis all got me thinking it was legit awesome but upon reading… nah, it was boring.

8. THE PERFECT BLEND

Name a book or series that’s bitter sweet yet satisfying.

The Secret by Debbie Howells is one of those books that made me cry, rethink people’s choices, characters and because it’s so real, I realized a lot of people are actually living in agony. I relate a lot to the MCs. The ending made everything worth it though. Love love love it!

That’s it, guys! Thank you so much for reading. I truly appreciate it. Have an amazing day. Take care!
